The Rev Jason Varndore

Rector

Rev. Jason Varnadore is a native South Carolinian, raised in Powdersville, SC. He and his wife Jenna met in the Linguistics department at North Greenville University and have been married since 2015. They have three children, River, Jonas, and Wade!

Prior to serving as Rector of St. David’s Anglican Church, Jason served as Youth Minister of his home church in Powdersville for four years while in college. After teaching high school in Salem, SC for a year, Jason and Jenna moved to Birmingham AL. There, Jason studied at Beeson Divinity School and served his local parish as Youth Minister and later as Assistant Parish Minister.

After Seminary, Jason and Jenna moved back to South Carolina sensing a strong call to rural and small-town ministry in their home state. That hope became a reality when St. David’s called Jason to be their Pastor in January of 2022!
